Sloppity Sue

Humor Literature Creativity

A riverside dock with a giant sticky pot, oar, shoes, and a round blob of goo.

I once knew a girl by the name (this is true) Of Slippity Sloppity Sluppity Sue. So incredibly fat, she might have been two, For Sue loved to eat and would eat all in view. One day with delight, rowing home after crew, She spied a gigantic pot, a bubbling brew, Which could have fed hundreds and smelled distinctly like stew. As you might well have guessed knowing Sue as you do This pot she did mount, an act she would rue, For she slipped on the lid, twirled and fell through Into…not food at all, but shoe-making glue! Now I know it is easy to make fun of poor Sue Who is no longer a person, just a big ball of goo, But beware if you’re one who likes eating for two Or it could be slippity sloppity sluppity you.
