Scripture is not a cabinet of detachable spiritual levers. It is wrong to quote Scripture with the conscious or unconscious intent to get people to do what you want them to do.
I am learning to tell the difference between Jesus’ voice and the stranger’s words.
Our leaders need to discern what God is speaking to them personally from what God would have the congregation hear. The only way to know what God is saying to the congregation is to do excellent exegesis.
