The voices to be discerned

I am testing everything I hear. Everything I read. My own thoughts. My own emotions, most often fears.

I am testing everything my colleagues say, everything the institution insists is important, and everything other Christians say is important. It is inevitable that the voices that need to be discerned will be the voices of colleagues, neighbors, friends, and family.

So, yes, I do have to judge, discern, and decide for myself where God’s voice truly resides.
